I am not the most religious Jew you will meet. For that matter, I am not the most religious Jew you will meet in the line for bacon cheeseburgers at an atheists' convention. Nonetheless, amidst the great religious insanity that threatens to consume us all, I take a certain pleasure in some of the customs of my ancestors' faith, especially compared to certain other religions that will remain nameless for now. So far as I know, nothing in Torah specifies the size of the cup. So maybe you can just think of them as cup 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, and so forth.
