Party Summary
Jul. 18th, 2003 10:15 amWe had about 100 people show up, although not all at once. I don't think we ever had to get more than 80 people in here.
The apartment is . . . sticky. By the end of the evening, we had homosexuals passed out on two different couches. I think I broke my big toe, and I am about to leave for the emergency room.
By many definitiions, that's a successful party.
Update (3:40 PM): The toe is not broken, merely very swollen and very painful. The galling thing is that I simply don't remember how I hurt it, and I don't have the excuse of having been drunk. I was too busy playing the host to get that toasted. That leaves only my natural obliviousness, which seems to have reached new heights.
Anyhow, the ER doctor gave me some strong painkillers. They have certainly helped with the pain, which is good, but they make me feel stupid, which is not. It's not a perfect world.

Date: 2003-07-18 09:43 am (UTC)ha. when you put it that way (homosexuals passed out on two couches) it sounds so much more interesting than it actually was.

keep the flair
Date: 2003-07-18 07:11 pm (UTC)who adopted the lesbian?
Re: keep the flair
Date: 2003-07-18 08:58 pm (UTC)This led to some jokes about "adopting" her. I probably enjoyed them a little too much, but then, within this sensitive and understanding exterior beats the heart of a heterosexual man.
Re: keep the flair
Date: 2003-07-19 07:14 am (UTC)I'm sure the concept of an adopted woman who loves women is full fantasy fodder for a warm-blooded like you;-)
