I am today in possession of a letter from Tony Woodson of the Office of Enrollment and Discipline of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Woodson is kind enough to tell me that "[my] application to take the examination for registration to practice before the Patent and Trademark Office has been approved."

A small hurdle, but it's nice to be past it anyway. I guess that means I have to study now.

Thanks! That's my cat Sini. She is quite vain. Is that your cat in your pic? Russian Blue?

a cat like that has a right to be vain :-) that is my cat Chloe (also known as [livejournal.com profile] chloemonster. he's actually not a blue, he's just a mutt with black fur and this strange white undercoat, so it looks all funny in that picture. it's definitely the least flattering photo i've ever taken of him - i'd post a link to a better picture, but the site where they're hosted is down.

oh yeah, this pic is of my cat Mendel (or her foot, anyway).

Wow. Chloe definitely looks like a Blue in that pic. And Mendel's foot is daintily delicious.

Sini is a mutt too. I adopted her from the SPCA when she was small enough to fit in my hand. They say she is an abyssinian/ tabby mix, which seems fairly accurate from her looks but I am sure that is a complete guess on the part of the SPCA. Her brothers and sisters were mostly creamsicle tabbies (orange and white and oh so cute).

i'll send you links to some hilarious pictures of Chloe so you can see what a silly cat he is :-)

Mendel is beautiful (ok, she's a little fat, but whatever). rabbit fur, bright yellow eyes - i got her at the Boston Animal Rescue League when she was 8mo. i fell in love with her feet. i absolutely cannot resist polydactyls.

this user pic is Mendel - the most unflattering pic i've ever taken of her.

yes, i was there a couple of years ago, but only for part of a day. unfortunately, i didn't see any cats while i was there, but i did see a couple of cute lizards.

what could be better than an island full of cute mutant kitties?!

The Mecca of Key West cats is Hemmingway's house (though you probably knew that). Just so if you ever get back you can be sure to get some many-toed goodness.

Thanks! They are gorgeous! That white undercoat is bizarre, which I mean in a good way ;)

oh, he's a totally fucked up cat. he has a girl's name. he likes to be spanked (*hard*). his canines are too big for his mouth and usually hang out a bit. he has the undercoat. the fur around the base of his tail sticks up most of the time, revealing the undercoat and looking ridiculous.

i moved the hair on one of his sides around yesterday so it looked like he had white polka dots. i'm determined to get a picture of him covered in spots :-) i'll post it in my journal at some point :-)

it is still a hurdle...
