Well, I have to prove that I have the necessary scientific or engineering training to be admitted. (That's why patent lawyers are rare: few lawyers have degrees in engineering or hard sciences.) And a Master's degree in computer science is not acceptable. Now, one of my undergraduate majors was Physics, and that is sufficient, but I had a double major, and that raises the harrowing prospect that I will have to explain my transcript to a government agency.
While I triple-checked my application, moreover, there's also a chance I overlooked something. If I did, the Patent Office will return it to me.
And everything has to be complete, explained, accepted, and basically perfect by July 7, or I don't get to take the test. Oy.
