While riding back from Brooklyn last night, the beauty of lower Manhattan hit me harder than the memory of what was missing. This is new.

Sometimes I can't believe I have the privilege of living here.

So interesting to hear you say that... I had a similar experience yesterday. I was walking down toward Battery Park and was admiring the bridges and the skyline and the beautiful day... and then I had a shock of realization that I hadn't even thought about what was missing for a few minutes.
