Brief Update

Am medicated, and a little sleepy, slightly tipsy, and very happy right now. Administered a mild flogging this evening, after far, far too long since the last one. Earlier, saw terrilyn get even happier than I am. Sitting right next to guppygrrl, who, along with cloeigrrl, felt me up earlier.

Met lordvyle for the first time and had an interesting conversation about race, BSDM, happiness, and other things. Met some other people too.

Life is good. I will be very sleepy tomorrow. I would be perfectly happy to stay an extra day, but if I don't see my wife tomorrow night, it may be a week before I see her again.

aha! i was correct in thinking that you were out of town! i know you've been in the midst of a travellin' spell these days & couldn't remember where you were at present...ended up in your neighbourhood randomly yesterday with a couple of hours to spare, so called you just-in-case. glad to hear that you were off adventuring merrily rather than doing something insufferably tedious.

I am now safely at home. I go to Philadelphia overnight at the end of this week, then I will be travelling a little less for the foreseeable future.

Lauren, for her part, is running all over the world. In the next week or so, she will be in Washington (at the White House!), Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.

By then, the effects of my drinking had already snuck up on me, so it was plenty surreal for me. But I enjoyed it anyway.

Then again, we could always blame the con. There was a lot that one might have seen that may have not been real ;-).

Well, that is true. There is not enough 'carnival' in this country. Such celebrations do not fit in with the puritian upbringing of the U.S. I think that is why people seem more looney and out of control than I have seen at celebrations in other countries.
