Brief Notes

lawnrrdI had a lot of trouble sleeping last night, so I am tired and unproductive today.
Being tired, I was not in the mood for the 45-minute phone call with our sales rep, where we both vented about how sales was pissing off consulting and vice versa. It was really about how bad our processes are, though, and how we need to clean up some past messes before we go out and make new ones. Ultimately it was constructive, but that doesn't mean I'm in the mood for the follow-up this afternoon with the sales guy and my manager.
Meanwhile, the guy from VLA didn't get back to me until about ten minutes ago, so I guess I'm not doing my orientation today. I just emailed him about tomorrow.
I am currently rereading The Silmarillion, for the first time since I developed enough patience actually to read it, not skim it. I keep forgetting it's not real.
