I was thinking the exact same thing. They do like holidays and anneversaries and stuff, and you know, thinking that, that even if they did hit anywhere public by somehow getting thought the snow, compared to the average President's Day, there's probably a tenth of the people that would normally be out. It remineded me of this past 9/11, when they shunted everyone off the West Side hghwy into the Village and stuff, right around where Manhattan stops being a neat, orderly grid of roads. I still wonder if that was to confuse the hel out of anyone on a timetable that day that didn't know the city well enough.
Well, it's just that the news was going on and on about how this was cancelled, and that wasn't; I mean, it's nice to know that the TKTS booth in Times Square is open, but shouldn't people just call, especially since most of them aren't going to hear the announcement anyway.
As everyone else had been heard from, this just seemed like the next logical step.
