Root Causes

Yesterday involved two dentists and one root canal. The tooth was cracked, and, according to the endodontist who did the procedure, "the nerve was pretty rotten." The procedure itself was surprisingly tolerable. Once the novocaine wore off, though, it hurt like a sonufabitch.

I've kept on taking the penicillin, and the Tylenol^® with codeine has been upgraded to Vicodin^®. It's mostly managed the pain, and, as a bonus, it doesn't hurt any more when I pee.

I'm hoping to make it back to work tomorrow, but, for today, I'm really not useful.
