In a span of about 10 minutes this morning, during which I gathered my belongings, left the house, and began walking to the subway, my mind leapt, semi-autonomously, among the following people and topics.

  1. Noam Chomsky (and whether it is really possible to be wrong about literally everything)
  2. Aristotle (and specifically book IV of the Metaphysics)
  3. Axiomatic Concepts
  4. Ayn Rand
  5. Edmund Burke (and whether a bigger jackass has ever been foaled)
  6. Whether the birth of a jackass is properly called "foaling"
  7. Marie Antoinette
  8. Prostitution
  9. Sexual slavery (the bad kind)
  10. Rape
  11. Fraud, as vitiating consent
  12. Andrea Dworkin

This sort of thing may be why I'm always tired.

Noam Chomsky (and whether it is really possible to be wrong about literally everything)

Well, he's probably right about innate language. Not that he ever talks about the one subject he knows anything about anymore.
