On my way to lunch, I saw an ambulance on its side in the middle of the intersection of East 57th Street & Lexington Avenue. I got there a couple of minutes after the accident, so I didn't see or hear the accident itself, but I was told that a van turned into the intersection and clipped the ambulance as it sped down Lex.
It looked as though no one was hurt too badly, fortunately—I don't think that the ambulance had anyone in the back, but was instead on its way to a call. I hope that whomever had called the ambulance got picked up before anything catastrophic happened.
