My Summer Vacation
Aug. 11th, 2007 10:34 pmI rode to the NJ shore last night, stopping briefly at the Borgata to make a donation.
Today started cloudy, but it turned into a pleasant, sunny day by afternoon.
I went running this evening. I suppose that, comparing myself to the typical American forty-year-old man, I should be pleased that I can run three-and-a-quarter miles at a pace of nine minutes per mile, but I'm not. It's just a reminder of how much I've let myself go during the past two years or so. I keep trying to remind myself that I can't instantly get back my physical condition, but so far I'm not listening.
Tomorrow night, I take the bus back to Brooklyn, while Lauren and Leo stay here until Wednesday night. Surely I can get into some mischief.
