Semi-Killer Instinct
Feb. 4th, 2003 10:26 pmVolleyball tonight. We crushed the other team, three games to none. I don't think they scored more than three points in any game. That brings us to nine wins and three losses for the season.
I think of myself as an insane competitive monster, but it got embarrassing tonight. At one point, I spiked the ball and it hit a woman right in the chest and knocked the wind out of her. In a competitive game, that would be cool. Tonight, it was just too much.
Oh, well. She wasn't hurt, and no one was angry or offended. Still, for the rest of the match, some of them would flinch every time I jumped to spike the ball. Ph34r m3.
It was a lot of fun, overall. <therapist-inspired-statement>And that fun was as least as authentic and important as anything that makes me unhappy.</therapist-inspired-statement>
