To keep my license, I have to take CLE courses every once in a while. A video course I ordered just arrived: International and Cross-Border Internet Law.

Maybe I really should go back to lawyering for a living.

If You're Keeping Score at Home

This is mostly a stick-around-the-house-and-do-chores day today. So far, I have:

• Sorted the laundry and washed two loads


• Went to the mailbox place and picked up my video course and various other items, like anniversary cards from people who didn't notice our change-of-address cards.


• Picked up shims from the lumberyard, and finally leveled my wife's dresser.


• Bought a new bird feeder at Petco and hung it from the fire escape.


• Compulsively checked LiveJournal over and over in the desperate hope that someone, anyone is writing about something interesting.

Still to do:

• Straighten up the apartment.


• Change the bed sheets.


• Take care of some of the million things on my personal to-do list.


• Go to the gym and lift heavy things.


• Call the sanitation department and remind them that, once again, they have failed to pick up our trash and recycling.
