Dec. 18th, 2003 04:30 pmYesterday was a good birthday. I saw RotK, and I've already said what I thought of it.
Before dinner, I went briefly to the gym, where I got my wallet back and enjoyed a short run.
I got home, showered, and changed, and then Lauren and I went to WD-50 for dinner. We had an outstanding meal. We started with rabbit sausage and corned duck, and then we shared some of the best foie gras we'd ever tried. I ordered pork belly for dinner, and Lauren had the lamb loin. The couple next to us was celebrating a birthday, too, and somehow we made friends with them, as usual.

Date: 2003-12-26 09:48 am (UTC)We didn't have the pear for dessert, but they told us it was five different kinds of pears (e.g., seckel pears, bartlett pears, etc.), each one prepared differently. For instance, there was a sorbet and there was a baked glazed pear. I forget what the other three were, but they all sounded yummy.
