Well, the test is over and it kicked my ass. There's certainly a realistic chance that I failed, although—to try to be positive about things—there's also a realistic chance I passed. This one was a lot harder than any of the past tests I had taken, but I was fortunate that many of the question had appeared verbatim on those past tests, and I remembered most of their answers.

And speaking of my good fortune, and further speaking of trying to be positive, I was not on the Staten Island Ferry today. My thoughts go out to the injured and to the families of the dead and missing.

I've been wondering if any of the NY journal crowd was on the ferry. Glad to hear you are safe. When do you find out the results of the test? And how is your esophagus doing?

The results will come in about six weeks.

And my esophagus is mostly, if not completely, better, thanks for asking. I have no pain when I eat or drink, but I'm trying to treat it relatively gently for a little while longer.

You survived! Mazel tov. Now, take your mind back. I'll bet you don't feel any worse than after the bar, or the LSAT, and you obviously did just fine on both of those.

Unfortunately, I do feel a good deal worse than I did after the LSAT or bar exams. But it doesn't really matter—we'll find out the truth, one way or another, in about six weeks.
