Jun. 3rd, 2002 10:46 amI work from home. That has pluses and minuses. I'm currently enjoying one of the little pluses.
My home office is a corner of the main room in our apartment. There are two big windows, currently open because it's a beautiful day, and my wife has put a few flower boxes out there. Little birds sometimes stop by, hang out, and chirp away merrily. It brings a little cheer to the frozen-over, burned-out cinder that is my heart.
Or at least it does until the fire engine charges out of the station around the corner, siren blaring, scaring the living bejeesus out of the birds, so they fly away and hide.
I had a busy weekend, and I really ought to post a nice, long entry about it.
