A Quiet Evening at Home
May. 14th, 2003 10:03 pmOur first day with the cat went well, all things considered, although the cat demands constant companionship. Showering was awkward.
For dinner tonight, I made a mesclun salad with vinaigrette, broiled flounder fillets with dill butter, roasted potatoes, and steamed broccoli. If I weren't married to a woman who inexplicably insists on monogamy, I could demand sexual favors in exchange for my cooking and have no shortage of applicants. Ah, well.
The monogamous wife and I planned on a quiet evening at home, our first in a while. And thats what we're having, although not the way I pictured it: she's finishing a freelance article, while I first print up mailing labels, and then work on my pro bono case.
Then tomorrow night, it's piano bar for me, while Wife goes out with local 705 of the International Benevolent Association of Bitches from Hell.
