Apr. 23rd, 2004 05:36 pmI'm home again. I have to go to Philadelphia (well, Fort Washington) for an unpleasant Sunday afternoon, but aside from that, I don't travel again until May 2.
Today I have been unusually tired, though. It's all I can do to keep my eyes open, and that's despite more of a nap than I care to admit. Travel is probably to blame. It'll probably be an early night tonight, though, and I can sleep late tomorrow, though.
I got a roll of film developed, which includes about 10 pictures I took at Fantasm.
I also had my first follow-up to the not-entirely-negative biopsies I mentioned. The doctor took a scalpel to my arm and cut around the site of the mole, going down to just above the fat in the center, then stitched me up. It looks worse than it feels, honestly, but it's still a little uncomfortable. I go back in two weeks to get the stitches out of my arm and to have the procedure repeated on my left leg.
The real annoyance is that I haven't been exercising much lately, and now these stitches will dramatically limit my exercise until I'm healed: I'm essentially forbidden to lift weights with my upper body for at least two weeks, and when they do my leg, I expect to have to skip most of my cardio for a while. This pisses me off as my belt is starting to get tight again.
Still, I'm home, and I get some time to catch up on stuff. I'm looking forward to a nice dinner tonight. Saturday night will be a chance to go out and play. I probably shouldn't play volleyball next week, but I'm going to, anyway. However blah I feel today, the fact is that life is basically OK now.
So let us relax and enjoy it.
