I Read the News Today, Oh Boy
May. 21st, 2003 05:21 pmI don't normally mention where I went to college because it always feels like bragging. But CNN is reporting that an explosion just happened in the mail room at Yale Law School; first reports are that a floor has collapsed.
I was only an undergrad there; I went to law school in North Carolina. But my dorm was near the law school, I used to frequent a late-night snack bar there, and I went to other events there. And it's just disturbing to see another seeming terrorist attack in another place that I have a substantial connection to.
Meanwhile, my wife was going to be on CNN tonight at about 7 PM to talk about mad cow disease (presumably about the financial implications of the recent news). She may be preempted by the new news, but we'll see.
Update (6:20 PM): University officials are now saying that a bomb went off in an empty classroom.
